Au Pair

We offer you an opportunity to work as AU PAIR in USA, England, and Spain or in other European countries. During the program you have a chance to work, travel and live in a host family while being responsible for the childcare. Au Pair is like a member of the family, where you have your own room and food always on the table.

Au Pair does not get paid; instead you get pocket money for personal use.

The purpose of the program is not earning much money, instead it aims to give you a chance to discover the world, experience new culture and life, and mature and develop personally. It also offers you an excellent opportunity to improve your language skills or learn new languages in a way which is impossible in lessons at schools. Besides the valuable experience, you will definitely have the best time of your life.

General requirements

  • Must be aged between 18-30
  • High school education
  • Have driving licence
  • English or any other language skills on conversational level
  • Previous experiences with children
  • Love for children, be caring and enjoy being in children’s company
  • Willing and open to experience new culture
  • Ability and willing to fulfil basic household duties
  • No criminal record
  • Unmarried, have no children

Duties

  • Taking children to school/kindergarten/home
  • Light housework: cleaning after children, ironing
  • Childcare and making sure that children are safe
  • Cooking of basic meals
  • Generally 5 working hours per day
  • 5-6 working days per week
  • Babysitting 1-2 evenings per week

Required documents

  • Photocopy of valid passport
  • Photocopy of driving licence
  • At least 2 childcare references
  • 1 character reference from non-relative
  • Physician's Report
  • Photos with children
  • Letter to host family
  • Certificate from the police or the Department of Justice to state that you do not have a criminal record

As an Au Pair, you will

  • Improve you language skills or learn new languages
  • Experience a foreign country
  • Shape your personality and become more independent, mature and self-confident
  • Make contacts and find international friends

Can I trust the host family?

Host families will not be chosen by us. Instead, they will be closely questioned and checked by the local agencies. Their duty is to find out information about the families’ background, interview them and decide whether they are suitable or not. In case of any problems should occur related to the family, you can turn to the agency that chose you the host family.
