Participation in the CHI International Volunteer Program offers the participant a valuable opportunity to be immersed in the culture of the United States or Canada while volunteering at a non-profit or non-governmental organization. This volunteer program will provide the participant with personal rewards on a global scale.
CHI's International Volunteer Program is an introduction to non-profit (NPO) and non-governmental (NGO) organization volunteer activities. Placement at a NPO or NGO organization will provide the participant with the opportunity to experience volunteerism through basic and career related tasks for up to a three-month duration. The participant will arrive on a visitor's visa. CHI Coordinators carefully place the participants based on their English ability and their individual volunteer focus.
To further the cultural immersion experience, the participant will live with a host family provided by CHI. A 12-week setup is required to ensure an sucessful placement.
The Requirements:
· Applicants are to be between the ages of 17 to 35
The participant is responsible for:
· Submitting a completed application form along with supporting documents
· Submitting a language assessment
· Securing and paying for flight arrangements and personal living expenses, including transportation to and from the host business
CHI'S INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM PROVIDES:
· Personalized placement with a non-profit or non-governmental organization
· Airport transfer
· Program orientation upon arrival
· Placement with a host family (host family fee additional)
· Program supervision and guidance
· English instruction available for an additional fee

INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (IVP)
1 month $750 + $42 per month for insurance
2 months $900 + $42 per month for insurance
3 months $l000 + $42 months for insurance
Includes: Placement in a volunteer position in a non-profit organization; orientation; ongoing supervision by a CHI Coordinator. Housing available for an additional fee.
Language instruction available at $30 per hour. Group rates available.
